What makes you feel most alien?
“What makes me feel most alien? Well, it’s also the thing that makes me feel most connected in certain situations. For one, I’m an identical twin, and two, I’m a creative person— an artist. I have to be making something all the time. At times, I feel like I’m the only one who can’t not collect all these spare parts. Everybody else wants to call it junk, but it’s spare parts when I need it so I can make some art projects. That’s when I feel most alien.”
When you were a kid, what was the wildest or most joyful dream you had for the future?
“A dream for the future? I just always wanted to make art. That’s the one thing that’s been constant in my life— drawing and making art.”
If you had to share one piece of advice, what would it be?
“Live free. Do your thing. Be kind to each other. Be mindful, but live free. If you know you have a way, and you are that way, be that way. Don’t hurt anyone, though. Live free.”
