What makes you feel most alien?
“The fact that I see and recognize obscure things as normal. I’ve always found myself captured by an image that I become drawn into, and with that sharing of energies, I’m learning from that image— hoping they’re learning from me, that I might have something that could enhance their world. I know they’re enhancing mine.
I’ve always felt the presence of, shall I say, alternate beings? And I’ve craved interaction! I’m the one who cried out loud during Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The first time I saw it in a theater, I cried my eyes out. So many times I’ll see things in the sky and go, ‘Take me with you!’ I’ve done that since I was this big— [gestures to show how small she was]. I’ve always known that I’m connected with more than here.”
When you were a kid, what was the wildest or most joyful 'vision' you had for the future?
“It’s wild. I was in my teenage bedroom on the second floor of our house, looking out at the neighborhood. I witnessed an army of men high-stepping in fatigues, carrying rifles, four or five across. The line was endless, coming into our neighborhood. As I watched them turn the curve of the street, I thought, ‘Oh no. This isn’t good.’ I got myself out of that vision and took myself away from it.
It terrified me at the time. I took it as a sign, showing me what could be happening on the planet. It elevated my cautiousness and my awareness of the potential for these changes. Watching what’s going on now, I sometimes think it may still happen. Seeing the garbage going on in the world, I feel like I saw the making of it.
I'm watching a show on Netflix called, The Man in the High Castle— Philip K. Dick, astounding. It speaks to so much of what we’re witnessing and, sadly, participating in whether we want to or not. These kinds of realities and takeovers. How people with money have the ability to lie and manipulate for personal gain— it’s become so horrifically evident and damaging. I can’t bear it.”
If you had to share one piece of advice, what would it be?
"Well, what I immediately want to say is, people get off of your high horse and get down to reality. But the people who need to hear that would scoff it off in a heartbeat…so my advice would be to appreciate the entire sphere of what has been given to you."
"When it comes to safety, you must first be aware of your own personal safety, and you need to protect it. Safety can be everything— physical, mental, spiritual, energetic. Your heart, mind, and soul need to come together to work for yourself as the human being, the energy, or the light that you are.”
