What makes you feel most alien?
“I like to think that I'm a very intuitive, perceptive person. When I'm around people or I first meet people, I'm constantly paying attention to a million details and trying to gauge their emotions— how they're feeling, their body language, their facial expressions.
It can get really overwhelming. So I think for me, that's where I sometimes feel more alien and apart, because I think sometimes people maybe don't pay as much attention as I do, for good and bad. It can be very overstimulating for me, but then I gain more insight.
I like being very intuitive to people's emotions and their general behaviors.”
When you were a kid, what was the wildest or most joyful dream you had for the future?
“I used to dream… I was a pretty girly girl, so I always wanted to be, like, a top model—runway, dancing, singing. I just always wanted to put myself out there.
I didn't end up that way, but it was fun. There's still a part of me that expresses that, just in a different way. Whether that's going out dancing or dressing up for myself— just having that explosion of who I am, of what my self-identity is.”
If you had to share one piece of advice, what would it be?
That the ultimate form of love is consideration.
